Vietnam Nah Trang
Nha Trang (Vietnam: Thành pĥ Nha Trang / 舖芽莊) is the capital of Cainhoa Province in south-central Vietnam, about 450 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, with an area of 251 km2 and a population of 535,000 (2018).
Nyachang is famous for its beaches and scuba diving, and it has developed into a popular tourist destination by attracting many backpackers as well as many travelers from Southeast Asia. On July 14, 2008, the Miss Universe contest was held, on December 4, 2010, the Miss Earth contest was held, and in 2016, the Beach Asian Games were also hosted.
Historically, the city was known as Kauthara, under the rule of Champa. It houses the famous Ponaga Pagoda, which was built by Champa. Because Nyatang is a coastal city, it is also the center of marine science, based on the Nyatang Ocean Research Institute. The Honmun Marine Conservation Area is one of the world’s first marine protected areas designated by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
